I am an Army Wife...My husband wakes up every morning to train... to protect me and everyone else with his K9 by his side. I am proud of him and everything he represents...and thank goodness my amazing husband does truly love me... clumsiness, goofiness, and all. He is such great support and such a great friend. I support him and his career 100%+...and he is equally supportive, a little testy at times...damn Leo ( I married a guy just like my dad in soooooo many ways)....but all and all he is an amazing husband.
Missed??? YES !!!!!! So missed, by me and the boys. You know you have it really good when all you can do is have every thought include him in it. WE are so lucky, we are so blessed. What we have is nothing I could have ever imagined. I never planned on him being such a huge part of my life nor the boys, BUT here we are.
Army Wife Life...some can handle it, some cannot. It is NOT for everyone. As a military wife you have soooo much on you...working a full time job, keeping the house together, ensuring the bills are paid ( I prefer payments to be made early), groceries, keeping your head up, supporting your husband EVERY STEP OF THE WAY, while MAINTAINING that SMILE, LAUGH, and NEVER letting them see you cry. We cannot afford to be weak, because our husbands need us, just as much as we need them, if not more.
What really upsets me is when I hear people make statements that "I am crazy or stupid" for wanting this life. I beg your pardon?! If it weren't for men like my husband and MANY others, there's no telling what this world would be like!! So shut your PIE HOLE! I don't talk ugly about your man, husband, or LACK THERE OF, so don't talk about mine, do not tell me or my peers that when they're gone they probably cheat (that's so hateful), AND do NOT WHINE about how late he comes home at night from work, when mine and MANY others don't come home for weeks, months, or maybe a year or so...I can be your friend or I can be your enemy..choose your side with caution!!!
Okay, I am now getting off my soap box...I think I made my point
P.S~ I LOVE my SSG =) & I LOVE My Life as an Army Wife...
Welcome to my little blog where I take the time to rant and rave about my life as a once divorced mom of two great boys once in Lower Alabama, and now, wherever the Army takes us....my life as a "recruited" Military(ARMY) Wife who absolutely adores and is 100% committed and supportive of her Soldier who I frequently refer to as SSG....enjoy :)

Competition Countdown
I cannot believe the weekend is almost here! I have a competition this weekend, and I am really excited. Cash and I have trained sooooo hard for this. My problem is I allow myself to get nervous, I hide it, BUT I get nervous. I HAVE TO AT LEAST QUALIFY this weekend or else everything that I have trained for and busted butt for will be so humiliating. I am hoping to arrive early enough on Saturday to observe the other dogs and get a feel for the atmosphere and the judges with Cash and let him become familiar with the smells and place for the next day. I also do not want to be unfamiliar with the location, my time of competition, and approximate time frame from point A to point B...and maybe a C in there somewhere...lol.
I wish my SSG was going to be there with me, but I have to put on my "big girl panties" and as he puts it... "Give it hell".
So, say a prayer for me, wish me tons of luck, & send good blessings my way...

Happy Easter !!!!
You are NEVER too old to get an Easter Basket from the Easter Bunny....even overseas. Together we made baskets for his two sons ( he sent gifts through the USO), and my boys received baskets as well. My boys were very excited...I think Colt put his bunny on his bed...hahahaha.
Happy Easter to everyone, I hope your day is special. I took the boys to the beach yesterday and we had a blast...today, we are relaxing and dog training =)

Awesome Ball, Awesome Sons!
The JROTC Ball for 2010-2011 was absolutely amazing! My sons were very handsome in their Class A's, and I was so proud to be escorted by them both. The entire evening was great from the dinner, to the awards ceremony (Chaz recieved his Senior Acknowledgement Plaque), and to the evening dance to end the night. Sorry to say, Colt has been battling bronchitis, and could not keep from overheating causing us to leave early. He was very sick by the time we arrived home. Nothing good old fashioned Vicks Vapor Rub, plenty of water, cold compresses, and Nyquil couldn't help! (AND his handy inhaler)...he's already feeling better today. =)

Crazy Day!!
Today felt so much like a Friday...I mean SERIOUSLY! It was soooooo CRAZO at work today, is it a full moon, or is one close??!!! HAHAHA!
My sons have their JROTC Military Ball tomorrow night. Class A's look good, hair is nicely cut, and Mom has her dress and shoes ready. Colt tried his best to convince me to wear the Ivory dress I wore to the MP Ball with my husband, but neh...I don't want to be that formal...I am the mom!
I am sitting here relaxing with my sons, and who the heck is calling my cellphone with a BLOCKED number??? And you CANNOT be courteous enough to leave a message?! Don't call me if you are afraid to show your phone number and be courteous enough to leave a message...it's rude.
So much for my vent about the crazy day...I am hopping off of my soapbox now and calling it a night =)
