Flowers...When SIZE matters to some....

My SSG just saw my bouquet in person for the first time last night when he stayed with me after working all day yesterday...he says "they're NOT as BIG as I expected them to be".....WHAT??!!! Are you kidding me??? NO, he wasn't...he expected the arrangement to be much bigger...shook his head, and said, "I'll just have to do better next time"...He KILLS ME! I love my flowers, and I cannot wait to start dryin them out and saving them as I did my arrangement last year.

Hope that everyone had a beautiful weekend, and I hope that everyone is having a good week so far...today started the first day of Lent, it is ASH WEDNESDAY...I am sticking to my NutriSystem, go to TWO Zumba classes a week, and no wine...my sacrifices and self improvement.

Happy Valentines Day 2010

I know it has been a bit since I have blogged, I guess in a lot of ways I have been keeping to myself. I am having my second Valentine's Day with my SSG, and he did it again, even better than last year...the day was almost over and this delivery girl approaches the front desk at Banfield, of course, she requests me by the WRONG NAME, and also asked for our Doctor....he sent me the MOST BEAUTIFUL 24 ROSES I have EVER seen!! Multi colored...does that mean anything??? Does each color represent his thoughts towards me? OR does it matter? Am I being a total "ROSE GEEK"???? Anyway, they are beautiful and SO very unexpected. Church in the morning...they're having a Youth Bake Sale...I made a ton of cookies, but never heard from anyone at the church, so I guess we will be attending the EARLY service so I know that they will be able to use them in the sale.

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone...oh yes, the mammogram came back okay, and I CANNOT get the nurse practitioner to return my calls on my pappers that is supposedly questionable...grrrrrr, just pray for me that maybe it's a misread or maybe it's just a cautionary result.....

I am sharing my flowers with everyone.... :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my FIRST BORN!!!

Today is Chaz' 17th birthday...I cannot believe the time has gone by so quickly. I never believed until recently that as we age, time flies...it is sooo true. This is my child that was born BEFORE Super Bowl Sunday, I begged Dr. Joe Michael Edwards to induce me, and he did...lol. He was my easy delivery, on going epidural, never felt pain, and honestly couldn't tell when I was pushing or if I was pushing...okay, yeah...TMI there. Chaz has been my blessing and miracle all wrapped into one HUGE gift, that I thank God for everyday, even though I sometimes feel I am the worst mom on the planet. At age two, I was informed by the ARMY Developmental Pediatrcian that Chaz was VERY AUTISTIC, and that I shouold be prepared for the worst. "Mrs. Walser, I cannot promise you that your son will talk, he will probably not graduate high school, and will most likely need assisted living for his entire life...I am sorry"...WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????? Here I was with my now EXHUBS, sitting in a 8x8 office after driving the night before from Ft.Rucker, AL to the AF Base in Biloxi, Mississippi(6hr drive), no sleep, the friggin door wouldn't shut to the room completely so I did not feel safe, Colt was all of 2 months old, Chaz had just turned two, and AFTER WAITING FOUR HOURS in a lobby with screaming children for my son's much awaited(we were on a wait list for two months to get an appt) 10AM APPOINTMENT, this TWIT with a license to PRACTICE MEDICINE, looks at my son opening and closing drawers, okay I thought that was normal for a two yr old, offers him two puzzles which Chaz quickly solves, observing him for UNDER 15minutes, and gives me that DIAGNOSIS???!!!! F-YOU Mr.DEVELOPMENTAL PEDIATRICIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW DARE you!!!! The entire 6 hour drive back home, my now EXHUBS is in denial, I am crying, and getting more and more angry over what the doctor said, and at my now exhubs, who himself is dyslexic and like bi-polar or something like that the the military labeled him with once I filed for divorce...I went straight to Dothan Pediatrics, spoke with Dr.James C.Wiley who up until a year ago was the boy's primary pediatrician, and asked..."WHAT CAN I DO???!!!" Thank you Dr. Wiley for all of your help, support, and guidance(by the way he now practices in MOBILE,AL & we sooo miss him!)...between him and Jule Scott(EPI/Therapist ay Lyster Army Hosp), they pointed me in the right direction and placed me on the path of NO RETURN for Chaz.

Today, Chaz Tenzel-Walser is 17yrs old...he is a JUNIOR at DALE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL, which is the grade in which he is supposed to be in...he does have an IEP, BUT is NOT in Special Education Classes, NOR is he in Assisted Living...HOWEVER he IS on track for his HONORS DIPLOMA, SPEAKS WELL, is CURRENTLY LEARNING SPANISH, PLAYS MIRACLE LEAGUE BASEBALL, AND IS A TRUMPET SECTION LEADER in the DALE CO HS MARCHING BAND, and he MARCHED in the AUBURN UNIVERSITY HONORS MARCHING BAND!!! He has played the trumpet since he was 12!!!! So has MY SON CONQUERED THE  VERY AUTISTIC DIAGNOSIS??? In some ways YES(he's actually ASPERGERS-HIGHLY FUNCTION AUTISM)...he does go to therapy to deal with the frustrations that come with Autsim/Aspergers, his issues with his "I CHOOSE NOT TO BE A PART OF YOUR LIFE, FATHER" AND....his progress is amazing, his doctors are my LIFELINE, and I am an UNLOCKING AUTISM STATE REPRESENTATIVE for ALABAMA...I would love to see that Developmental Pediatrician and say REALLY??? You think you were right??? BITE ME!!! My son ROCKS!!!! Even if Chaz had not overcome the obstacles he has, he still ROCKS!!!! Am I a PROUD mom??? YOU BET YOUR SWEET BUTTCHEEKS I AM!!!

MIRACLE LEAGUE Baseball season starts soon, and I cannot wait! He loves playing, and his brother Colt is his Buddy/Volunteer...it's awesome!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHAZ!!! One day you will probably read my BLOG, and when you do, I hope and pray that you will know how much you mean to me, how much I LOVE YOU, no matter how much of a HARDBUTT I have been on you...I only pushed you to help you reach the goals that I KNEW you could achieve...YOU ARE A BLESSING, and your Grandmother Goo was right...GOD loaned you to me, because he knew I was STRONG enough to be here for you, fight for you, be your advocate, help you,  and love you UNCONDITIONALLY...I LOVE YOU!!!!!

AMAZING WEEKEND!!!!!

I had a wonderful getaway weekend in Nashville from 01/08-01/10. Vandy/Gators SEC Basketball game & NHL Predators game. My SSG had never been to either type of game, so I feel like the pretty cool girlfriend to introduce him to both within the same day & on his first trip home with me. My parents love him...hello??!!! I knew they would! I am so lucky & blessed to have him in my life! I am still just trying to figure out how I got so lucky!!! UPDATE from doctors appt that took place on Thursday. So far so good. It will take 2-3 weeks for the Cervical Cancer screening/test results to return, and my Mammogram is scheduled for Monday, January 18th. I hate the tests/pap thing from Thursday, so as far as I am concerned, the worst testing was done then. No matter what, I have excellent support from my co-workers, friends, my family in Nashville, and my SSG. I have posted tons of pics on FB & My Space from our little trip...KUDOS to the Hampton Inn on Elliston Place in Nashville,TN!! OMG!!! Our suite...#712 was AMAZING!!! AND of course I forgot to take pictures of it! I have already reserved the room for April when I plan to return during the boy's Spring Break! Yay!!!

So I am going to cut this short, and head to bed soon. Even though I do not have to be into work til 1pm tomorrow, I want to rest. I am still tired from the drive yesterday...Much love, and keep me in your prayers until all my test results are back!!!

Praying.....

I have tried to keep quiet, but my closest friends are some with whom I work, so they are aware that today is a very nerve wracking day for me. About a month ago I found a lump. I have fybroid cystitis, and have dealt with this since I was a teen, but never have a felt a true knot, or lump. I even begged my boyfriend to tell me if I was imagining things, which apparently I am not. So, my appointment to be checked is today, the day before I travel home for a weekend get away to Nashville with my SSG(boyfriend), and my boys, the three amazing men in my life. I am a wreck I tell you...scared crapless! Cancer runs on BOTH sides of the family, breast, ovarian...you name it, we got it...heart disease, thryoid disease...I swear the Tenzel's, Archie's, and Veltri's are walking medical conditions, thank goodness to technology though. My appointment is at 12:30pm TODAY, full physical exam, head to toe. Now anyone that truely knows me, knows I am honestly NOT A SICKLY PERSON, I may be fluffier than normal...lol, but I refuse to be sick. So please keep my in your prayers that todays visit will just show that it was a cyst being ugly to me, and that I am cancer free from head to toe. I have no insurance, our charter does not offer it, not can I afford the rate for my age group, and the deductables are ungodly!!! Just pray, I am praying...I hope to give my parents somewhat of good news when I head home tomorrow....
